Obama ought to apologize to Ahmadinejad. After all, Obama's on such a roll in apologizing for the United states around the world what harm would it do to make one more show of appeasement and weakness? Just Friday, The Anointed One apologized, during a press interview with the German Chancellor, for the U.S. not doing its part in controlling greenhouse gases and promised to do better.

The Free World Has No Leader
It is not just the "Iranian revolution" that has no leader. Now, the free world, has no leader. Since WW2 that leadership role, with the exception of Jimmy Carter, has been from the president of the United States because of our strength and record of commitment and sacrifice for freedom. But, Obama has shown that there is no potential for military confrontation from the United States. Obama has shown that he is weak and ineffective in dealing with rogue nations like Iran and North Korea or with Islamic Terrorism. The leaders of our enemies and allies alike, see this very clearly. Obama's personal popularity with the Liberal media and as the rock star to the masses is irrelevant. Obama has reduced the United States to no more of a threat against aggression than is Bermuda. The change our allies can believe in is to be ready to fend for themselves, all the way up to and including the use of nuclear weapons. In the face of aggression, Obama will talk, appease, ignore, plead, make statements about being displeased and wait to see what's popular.

Obama has been labeled by the Liberal media and by himself as "The Chosen One", "almost Godlike", "leader of the world". Most recently, he was pronounced to be "President Cool" for his restraint in commenting on the elections and protests in Iran!

So, N. Korea is so fearful of Obama that they conduct more nuclear and long range missile tests. Pitiful Pointless Pandering by the Senate!
The U. S. Senate last week apologized for slavery. What pitiful pointless pandering!!! Slavery was horrible and criminal, saying it was an "injustice" is much too mild a description. However, the citizens of the U.S. today and the current Congress had nothing to do with slavery; neither practicing it or approving of it. There are no former slaves or slave-owners alive, nor the children of slaves or slave-owners and problably few, if any, grandchildren of slaves or slave-owners. How can Congress in 2009 apologize for what others did over 140 years ago? It's a stupid empty gesture and no-one in the Senate had the courage to say this was a waste of time.What's next, apologizing to the descendents of witches for burning them at the stake in Salem? I suppose there aren't enough votes among descendents of witches.

The Truth on Taxes for Obamacare
"95% of taxpayers will see no increase in their taxes and will actually get a reduction in the form of a rebate" said Obama the Candidate over and over again. The big lie repeated often enough becomes the truth in many peoples minds..
Now, in order to pay for Obamacare and other massive deficit spending programs, the Democrats and Obama the president are proposing:
1. eliminate the income tax deduction on medical expenses (already restricted to expenses over 7.5% of income)
2. institute an income tax surcharge of 2%
3. tax employer provided health insurance (McCain's proposal vigorously attacked by Obama the Candidate)
4. tax soft drinks containing sugar
5. tax fatty fast foods
6. raise the tax on alcohol
7. raise the tax on cigarettes (maybe a good thing)
8. have a national sales tax as in Europe called "value added tax" or "VAT"
9. and, the biggest sneaky tax of all is to institute a "cap and trade" tax on carbon based fuels.
Those 35 to 40% of Americans who don't pay any income tax today may not be impacted by the first two items, unless they have big medical expenses that lead to no taxes.
BUT everyone, no matter what income bracket, will be hit by the other taxes, particularly the VAT and the "cap and trade". The "cap and trade" will lead to a 50% to 100% increase in the cost of home heating and air conditioning and in gasoline and will add to the cost of every item one purchases since energy is used in all manufacturing and transportation of goods.
For all of this, you will get a "government option" health insurance which will use taxpayer money to eventually push out all private health insurance companies leaving government run socialized medicine as the only survivor.
For all of this, Obama has already made it clear that a $300 billion decrease in Medicare costs are necessary including cuts in such items as: availability of MRI and CAT scans, availability of expensive antibiotics, limitations on joint replacement surgery after a certain age (just suffer with what you have), and reductions in allowed treatment of chronic back pain.

Obama Speaks to AMA on Health Plan
After Obama's speech to the AMA touting the Democrat's health plan, there was much discussion from the left about whether the health care industry will derail Obama's plan.
LET'S HOPE THAT THE HEALTH INDUSTRY IS ABLE TO DERAIL THE OBAMA PLAN! Obama can make as many claims as he likes about keeping your own insurance and keeping your own doctors if you like them, but OBAMA IS BEING DECEITFUL. Obama's proposal to have a "GOVERNMENT OPTION" for health insurance means that taxpayer money, or OBAMABUCKS (deficit spending money) will be used to : (1) set low premium rates, (2) subsidize health services, (3) limit the fees charged charged for health services, (4) restrict the health services, (5) pay for the bureaucracy to administer the "government option" and (6) pay for marketing the plan.
The 1300 health insurance providers in this country will not be able to compete and will slowly fall by the wayside. Eventually, Obama's government option" will be the only option that can be afforded and we will have the disaster of socialized medicine with all of the disadvantages, delays and restrictions on services as occur in Canada, U.K. and much of Europe.
Of course, Congress and the executive branch who cooked up this scheme will not have the same "government option" and will receive first class health care as is available now in the United States.

Does Iran Care What Obama Says?
Obama doesn't really matter to those Iranians in power since 1979; the fanatical Islamic Mullahs and their selected puppet Ahmadinejad. They want their brand of Islam to be spread throughout the region and then the world, by guile, threats, terrorism and warfare as the opportunities present themselves. Only the narcissist Obama and his fawning admirers think it matters what Obama says about Iran, its elections, its nuclear weapons program or anything else. Ahmadinejad is playing Obama for a fool, like a cat with a ball of string. The Ayatollah Khomeini and Ahmadinejad will continue to do as they please to attain their goals and they couldn't be more pleased than to have Obama help them along with his blame America, get tough with Israel, appeasement speech in Cairo and his egotistical belief that he will charm and persuade the Iranians to behave as Obama would like.

Obama proclaimed that the U.S. will "forge partnerships as opposed to simply dictating solutions," in a statement to the G-20 summit. Obama told al-Arabiya, America will henceforth "start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating." This has been Obama's approach to Iran, Russia, Cuba, Syria, Hamas dominated Gaza and Venezuela. On the other, Obama's claim of an "unbreakable bond" with Israel comes with DICTATING that Israel freeze all settlement activity.
Obama, in his speech at Cairo U., compared the suffering of the Palestinians to that of the Jews during the Holocaust. This comparison is lunacy, approaching that of the Holocaust deniers. Obama failed to mention in Cairo that any suffering the Arabs have endured was brought upon themselves by not accepting the new State of Israel, declaring war on Israel and to this day not accepting the right of Israel to exist.
Obama's mentor, close personal friend and minister of 20 years, just last week, declared: "Them Jews ain't going to let him (Obama) talk to me". Only the most naive could think that Obama never heard such anti-Semitic sentiments from the mentor Wright over the course of 20 years or that having stuck by Wright for 20 years until it wasn't politically expedient, that Obama doesn't share some of Wright's sentiments.
Obama has warned Israel not to take unilateral action against Iran's nuclear development capability. Of course, it is not the U.S. that has been threatened to be wiped off the face of the Earth by Ahmadinejad. No prior U.S, president has taken such a hard line against Israel taking preemptive measures to defend itself.
Obama appointed former advisor and colleague Susan Rice as U.S. Ambassador to the United nations. Rice's anti-Israel ranting are well documented and can be found on the internet. Her position has been that Israel should be a non-Jewish state.
Obama appointed former advisor and colleague Samantha Power as a member of the National Security Council. Power has a long record of dislike for Israel. In one interview at Berkeley, Power suggested that the U.S. needs to have a major military presence in Palestine to protect the Palestinians from genocide by Israel and might have to intervene militarily by invading Israel.
The warning signs of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments by Obama were there well before the election with his long term realtioshipswith Rice, Power, Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and pro-Palestian-terrorism fund raiser Rashid Khalidi. Many chose to stick their heads in the sand before the election with respect to these relationships.

Imagine!
1.Imagine if Sarah Palin said that Muslims' historical contributions included: algebra (actually it was the ancient Babylonians), the compass (actually it was the Chinese), pens (actually it was the Chinese again) and medical discoveries (nothing in the last 1000 years). Palin didn't, but Obama said this in Cairo!
2. Imagine if Sarah Palin said that the Muslim attack on 9/11 was a very bad thing to do to America, but on the other hand, Arabs are victims of colonization (actually it was the French and the British who colonized them, not America). Palin didn't, but Obama said this in Cairo!
3. Imagine if Sarah Palin equated women's equality issues in America to those in Muslim countries (the argument for abortion rights and more executives being equated to girls stoned to death for being raped or women subject to being beheaded for not covering their heads in public). Palin didn't, but Obama said this in Cairo!
4. Imagine if Sarah Palin tried to distinguish between a "war of convenience, (Iraq)" and a "war of necessity (Afghanistan)". (Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan nor any country attacked America on 9/11 so our retaliation against those supporting or harboring terrorists or planning further attacks are all "wars of convenience", just as Germany never attacked America in WW2, so Roosevelt must of had a "war of convenience" against Germany.) Health Insurance for All Americans
The trumped up figure of 46 to 50 million Americans without health coverage includes five categories of roughly equal size depending upon the census and when it was taken: (a) illegal aliens who are not "Americans", (b) the poor who are already eligible for Medicaid and SCHIP but have not accessed either through an emergency room visit, but can be covered under existing plans for the poor, (c) those who are not covered for part of a year due to job change but will be covered once again through their own efforts (if unemployed for an extended period they could be temporarily eligible for government coverage like Medicaid and SCHIP), (d) those who earn over $50,000 per year but choose not to get health insurance but rather to spend their money on other items, these are often younger workers who believe they are in good health and are willing to gamble by not having insurance,(e) the truly needy who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but earn less than $50,000 and cannot afford health insurance along with other necessities. It is this last group of about 10 million Americans that need a plan comparable to Medicaid, perhaps vouchers to be used with any of the 1300 private health insurance providers in this country. This does not require a massive government takeover of the health care system or, as Obama proposes, a "government option" for health insurance, which will slowly displace all private health insurance that will not be able to compete with the government subsidized plan. This "government option" is the backdoor to socialized medicine.

Is AARP Looking Out for Retirees?
The AARP Magazine, Bulletin and representatives in TV interviews gushed with enthusiasm for over a year about the Obama candidacy and various Democrat candidates for Congress because the Obama crowd was predicted to be so beneficial to the needs of retirees. Now what do we have with the President Obama and a Democratic controlled Congress? First, a trillion dollars being spent to bail-out GM, Chrysler, AIG, BOA and numerous other "too big to fail" financial institutions, but nothing for the consumer and a planned freeze on Social Security benefits for 2010. Second, a 2009 deficit In Obama's budget that is four times as much as the outrageously high Bush deficit in 2008 and plans for high deficits over the next decade that will drive inflation and impact essentially fixed income retirees more than other segments of the population. Third, Obama's council on Economic Advisors and Secr. Health Sebelius both saying that Americans must curb Medicare and overall healthcare spending in order to have uniform healthcare for all. There are proposals for the government to offer health care insurance in competition with private health care. This can only drive us toward a Canada or United Kingdom system where: health care is rationed (including diagnostic tests, surgery and expensive medicines), the government chooses hospitals and most providers and long waiting periods for care are encountered. This type of health care system will most adversely impact those over 50 years of age, the stage in life when healthcare needs increase. The AARP was not looking out for the well-being of its membership by supporting candidate Obama and a Democrat controlled Congress. We need a change!

From 1462 to 1917, over 450 years, Russia had 29 Czars; monarchs who ruled with absolute and brutal authority. It was said that the Czars were answerable only to God. In only four and one-half months, Obama has appointed 20 Czars answerable only to himself, The Chosen One!
The Obama Czars bypass and, in fact, override the authority of the Cabinet, have not received congressional review or approval and many have questionable credentials for their area of dictating policy although they all have the political philosophy of bigger government with more controls.
As one example, Carol Browner, the Global Warming Czar member was a member until last year of Socialist International Commission for a Sustainable World Society advocating severe restrictions on U.S. emissions that would significantly decrease U. S. Gross Domestic Product thus weakening the economy. She dumped her membership in this socialist group when she set her sights on a position in the future Obama administration.

Obamacare and You
For those of you who have had the misfortune of having to access medical care for serious, or even life-threatening situations, you should be able to relate best to what Obama and the Democrats have in store for you with their health care reform plan.
Obama's Council of Economic Advisors released a report "The Economic Case for Health Care Reform" which states that Americans must curb their consumption of medical care so there MUST BE GOVERNMENT CONTROLS on what all Americans can spend on health care in order to avoid government programs (Obamacare) from running huge deficits.
Likewise, Obama's Secretary of Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, states that " the only way to slow Medicare spending is to SLOW OVERALL HEALTH SYSTEM spending through comprehensive and carefully crafted legislation".
The consequences of Obamacare are predictable, it is what exists in Canada, the UK and much of Europe. Numerous citizens of these countries have given personal testimonials as to the disaster of government run health care.
It means less spending on R&D for new drugs, new medical diagnostics and treatment procedures to treat what are now untreatable, crippling or low survivor rate illnesses. It means rationing and often significant life threatening delays to access what are now routine diagnostics (like MRIs and CAT scans), complex surgery and expensive medicines.
It means the average quality of health care will decline as hospitals have to cut budgets, shortages of nurses and doctors mount and the government decides through Sebelius' "carefully crafted legislation" what you may be allowed to access.

Obama's Council of Economic Advisors released a report "The Economic Case for Health Care Reform" which states that Americans must curb their consumption of medical care so there MUST BE GOVERNMENT CONTROLS on what all Americans can spend on health care in order to avoid government programs (Obamacare) from running huge deficits.
Likewise, Obama's Secretary of Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, states that " the only way to slow Medicare spending is to SLOW OVERALL HEALTH SYSTEM spending through comprehensive and carefully crafted legislation".
The consequences of Obamacare are predictable, it is what exists in Canada, the UK and much of Europe. Numerous citizens of these countries have given personal testimonials as to the disaster of government run health care.
It means less spending on R&D for new drugs, new medical diagnostics and treatment procedures to treat what are now untreatable, crippling or low survivor rate illnesses. It means rationing and often significant life threatening delays to access what are now routine diagnostics (like MRIs and CAT scans), complex surgery and expensive medicines.
It means the average quality of health care will decline as hospitals have to cut budgets, shortages of nurses and doctors mount and the government decides through Sebelius' "carefully crafted legislation" what you may be allowed to access.

Obama Speech in Egypt
Obama hailed his speech in Egypt this week as a breakthrough in relations with the Muslim world and a new approach of speaking frankly about the issues.
Obama was so "frank" that he failed to cite the human rights violations, state torture and murder that routinely takes place in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Instead, we have the images of Obama laughing and chatting with the King of Saudi Arabia and Obama once again bashing the behavior of the United States and of Israel to a cheering audience in Egypt who loved Obama's anti American rhetoric.
Did Obama speak frankly and ask either country for help in controlling and condemning the Islamic Terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan or Pakistan? No, of course not.
Did Obama ask for help in isolating Iran and pressuring them to cease their nuclear weapons development or to retract Iran's promise to wipe Israel off the face of the earth with an atomic bomb? No, of course not.
Did Obama speak frankly and ask for Saudi Arabia and Egypt to cease supporting Hamas and Hezbollah? No, of course not.
Did Obama point out that the Palestinians could have had their own country in 1948 if the Palestinians and the Arab states, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt, would have accepted the United Nations two-state resolution a the time, but instead Obama's host countries rejected the solution and declared war on Israel? No, of course not.
Did Obama speak frankly about 60 years of Palestinian leadership that gave its people corruption, tyranny and religious intolerance and how the Palestinian leadership has chosen poverty and hate rather than accept any settlement not accompanied by the extinction of Israel? No, of course not.

GM: General Motors to Government Motors.
After $20 billion in charity from Obama with another $30 billion in charity to follow, we have General Motors evolving into Government Motors. What are the chances that the taxpayer will ever see any of this $50 billion?
The General Motors officers, Boards of Directors, management ranks and UAW union officials created their own disaster built up over decades through:
1. personal greed in wages, benefits and work rules to swell both the union and management ranks and add to non-competitive costs,
2 bad contracts agreed to by management and union alike that gave cumbersome and inefficient union work rules that add to non-competitive cost
3. bad contracts that gave outrageous union benefits that add to non-competitive cost,
4. bad management decisions in automobile design that sent buyers to foreign cars,
5. bad management decisions in building inflexible factories that squandered precious capital and made the companies less agile,
6. bad control of quality that made GM cars undesirable and created a poor reputation that still prevails
7. bad corporate organizations with too many redundant products lines adding unnecessary cost customer confusion7. bad market research on what to design and build in the future
8. bloated management ranks that add to noncompetitive costs
The same people, minus a CEO, and culture that created this disaster remains in place even though they have had to shed some of the excess baggage with the government's gun to their head. So, the bill for each man, woman and child in the Unitd states is about $160. Of course Obama could have let GM fail in the normal process for a free-market, that is file Chapter 11 without any bailout. Instead we will all wind up paying for Governemnt Motors through hidden federal gasoline taxes or through inflation for the "borrowed" $50 billion.

Obama is so enamored with his own teleprompter image that he thinks a rogue criminal nation like Iran is just going to swoon over his words and how nice he looks, like those who fawn over Obama in his country, and Iran will abandon its full-speed-ahead development of a nuclear weapon.
The Iranian leaders must be privately laughing at Obama's naivety and they are willing to string him along as long as possible.
This is just another example of Obama's narcissism; he is so impressed with himself that he is dangerous to America's national security.
Unfortunately, Israel will be left to deal directly and with Iran, as they once did with the threat of atomic bomb developments in Iraq and then more recently in Syria. How ironic that the world's greatest power will be left fumbling around by the Teleprompter President, while this small democracy in the Middle East will have to secure peace and the safety of the entire region from Iranian intimidation and control should Iran obtain nuclear weapons.
As a major side benefit, Israel, will wind up securing America's and the world's Middle East oil supply which would clearly be in jeopardy if Iran became a nuclear power. Now, Obama repeatedly flails around with meaningless tough talk statements about "unacceptable behaviour and" breaking international law". It is obvious that the N. Obama vs Cheney World Views
OBAMA'S WORLD VIEW IS CHILD-LIKE; naive and incompetent like a six-year old. Perhaps Obama believes in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny but that doesn't make America safe.
In contrast, Cheney's view is adult and realistic; he recognizes real threats to the national security and welfare of the United States and is a proponent of measures that are necessary to counteract threats.
Obama is so impressed with his own charm, good looks and teleprompter reading ability, in a child-like naive way, that he thinks adversaries will just fall over and do as he wishes to make the sun shine.

The important question for the Republicans regarding Powell is NOT why Powell supported Obama (because he is Black) over McCain or is Powell really a Republican.

The message of anti-big government, fiscal responsibility (abandoned by Bush), free-market capitalism, lower taxes, strong national security, combating terrorism and individual responsibility can have broad appeal.
Obama will help these causes by his naive handling of international relations, his incompetency in economic matters and the consequences of his big government, big deficit policies.

Policing this and getting everyone to play by the same rules is all but impossible.
The only ones to benefit by the Obama Carbon Cap and Trade plan will be the likes of Al Gore, through his Generation Investment Management Corp and their significant stake in Camco International Ltd which has one of the largest carbon trading portfolios. Al Gore stands to make many millions from Obama Cap and Trade and other politicians may have similar investments set up.
The other major beneficiary of Obama Cap and Trade will be GE Corp which has placed a big bet on providing non-carbon energy systems and has already paid Obama by turning their NBC and MSNBC networks into the Obama Propaganda Networks for 2 years before the election and continuing today.
