The "unprecedented" achievement of Reid and Pelosi is the amount of bribery, pork,extortion and threats that were used to get the versions of ObamaCare passed in the House and Senate. If this is the mark of great congressional leaders then Pelosi and Reid deserve the title.
They ignored public opinion, carved out so many sweetheart deals, and threatened to withhold federal funds so that eventually all Senate Democrats folded. They carefully counted votes in the bag in the House to allow certain Democrats to appear to be against the bill in districts where reelection would be the most problem for those voting for the bill.
Obama violated so many of his promises in getting this far in the health care bill process that it's almost impossible to keep count: "not a dime of increased taxes on those making below $250,000", "no more earmarks", "bipartisanship","transparency","posting bills for the public to read for 5 days before a vote", "able to keep your own doctor", "no impact on Medicare", "will reduce health care costs" and on and on.
THIS IS ORGANIZED CRIME AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Those that have gotten deals this time around are just as likely to be thrown under the bus next time around if they are not needed. That is the nature of the "Chicago Way".

So, Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security Secretary, says "THE SYSTEM WORKED" respect to this Nigerian Islamic terrorist who has ties to Al Qaeda. IS SHE NUTS? There could not have been a bigger failure of Obama's Homeland Security measures except for the Islamic terrorist's murders at Fort Hood.

4800 PAGES BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND SENATE VERSIONS OF A HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL.
Liberals (now hiding behind the name "Progressives") and all Americans ought to ask themselves:
1. 4800 pages and not one of TORT REFORM.
Who benefits? The Trial Lawyers Association who has donated extensively to Democrats.
Who does NOT benefit? Everyone else paying higher insurance premiums so doctors and hospitals can buy expensive liability insurance.
2. 4800 pages and not one to allow PRICE COMPETITION among insurance companies.
ACROSS STATE LINES.
Who benefits? Big insurance companies who backed the ObamaCare proposal.
Who does NOT benefit? Everyone having to buy private health insurance as individuals or through employers.
3. 4800 pages and not one to allow individuals to DEDUCT THE COST OF PREMIUMS as do businesses.
Who benefits? Big government collecting more of your tax money.
Who does NOT benefit. Every tax payer who buys health insurance.
4. 4800 pages and NO SEVERE PENALTIES, of fines and prison, for those who commit Medicare and Medicaid FRAUD.
Who benefits? Criminals and community groups that encourage fraud.
Who does NOT benefit? Every employee having a Medicare tax deducted from their paycheck and all recipients of Medicare and Medicaid who get less service due to higher cost.

2. Iran is now close to having a neutron initiator which is critical to setting off nuclear bombs.
3. The International Atomic Energy Agency confirms , as do other sources, that Iran is undeterred in enriching uranium to a level that is only necessary for nuclear bombs.
4. Iran continues to support Islamic terrorist groups with weapons and funds: Hamas, Hezbollah, the Taliban, insurgents in Iraq and now Columbia's FARC.
5. Iran uses arrests on phony charges, torture (the real kind, not water boarding), and murder to squelch opposition protests inside the country and threats against families for those dissidents who criticize the regime from outside the country.
6. Iran continues to jerk the United States and other countries around with respect to inspections of nuclear facilities, particularly uranium enrichment plants. The bottom line here is that no meaningful inspections have taken place and there has been no slowing down of Iran's race to develop nuclear weapons.

Obama's Legacy in His Own Mind Is All That Matters
Robert Samuelson (economist) writing in the Washington Post, Monday December 21, 2009 comments: "Barack Obama's quest for historic health-care legislation has turned into a parody of leadership. We usually associate presidential leadership with the pursuit of goals that, though initially unpopular, serve America's long-term interests. Obama has reversed this. He's championing increasingly unpopular legislation that threatens the country's long-term interests. "This isn't about me," he (Obama) likes to say, 'I have great health insurance.' But of course, it is about him: about the legacy he covets as the president who achieved "universal" health insurance."
WHY SHOULD ANYONE BE SURPRISED?
1. Obama's entire career has always been about himself; he defines "narcissist".
2. Obama warned everyone about his SOCIALIST BELIEFS (the polite term is now "progressive") in the two books he supposedly authored. But too few voters paid attention. They were enamored with his teleprompter speeches and slogans.
3. Obama's history in the U.S. Senate and in the Illinois legislature, where he studiously avoided commitments to anything controversial, showed that it was all about his attaining the next level. Too few voters paid attention to his record.
4. Obama's socialist activities as a Community Organizer and the left-wing radicals he surrounded himself with in college, law school and in Chicago showed his ingrained philosophy. Too few voters paid attention to this and passed it off as "politics".
5. Obama's "Chicago Way" politics of smearing opponents in getting the nominations and elected at every step in his career showed the tactics we could expect. Too few voters paid attention and thought he was just charming.
The image of an American Idol was bought and now we pay for who Obama really is. The tip of the iceberg in unemployment rate, foreign policy weakness, excessive deficits and steps to destroy the free-market economy are just surfacing. It's only eleven months; the full disaster is yet to come.
WHY SHOULD THIS A SURPRISE TO ANYONE?

1. Obama's entire career has always been about himself; he defines "narcissist".
2. Obama warned everyone about his SOCIALIST BELIEFS (the polite term is now "progressive") in the two books he supposedly authored. But too few voters paid attention. They were enamored with his teleprompter speeches and slogans.
3. Obama's history in the U.S. Senate and in the Illinois legislature, where he studiously avoided commitments to anything controversial, showed that it was all about his attaining the next level. Too few voters paid attention to his record.
4. Obama's socialist activities as a Community Organizer and the left-wing radicals he surrounded himself with in college, law school and in Chicago showed his ingrained philosophy. Too few voters paid attention to this and passed it off as "politics".
5. Obama's "Chicago Way" politics of smearing opponents in getting the nominations and elected at every step in his career showed the tactics we could expect. Too few voters paid attention and thought he was just charming.
The image of an American Idol was bought and now we pay for who Obama really is. The tip of the iceberg in unemployment rate, foreign policy weakness, excessive deficits and steps to destroy the free-market economy are just surfacing. It's only eleven months; the full disaster is yet to come.

The two versions of health care bills passed the House and the Senate only because Obama, Pelosi and Reid applied the "Chicago Way" of EXTORTION and BRIBERY to strong-arm enough votes.
Many Democrats were not in favor of the bills but could not withstand the various threats from the administration or pork-laden gifts for their home districts and states.
What Reid and Pelosi are crowing over, and call compromise, is the worst case in history of CORRUPTION and BETRAYAL perpetuated on the electorate by Congress.

United States Needs an Energy Policy that Makes Common Sense
The United States needs an energy policy that makes common sense, not one in which the U.S. is stampeded to act against its best interests to benefit all sorts of special interests and those nations that have convinced themselves that the U.S. and Europe owe them some sort of "reparations" because we are technologically advanced and they are not. These special interests who are acting for their own economic gain and the "have not" nations have latched onto man-made global warming as the vehicle to get rich or to "redistribute the wealth". The demonstrations and speeches from third world nations at the Copenhagen Conference on Global Warming show that these other nations are more interested in the destruction of capitalism, spreading socialism and filling their personal coffers rather than saving the palnt from man-made global warming.
There are enormous national security and economic motivations for the U.S. to get away from imported petroleum products and all sides of the political spectrum can agree on this goal. The Dept of Energy, formed under Carter, was supposed to do that, but has failed miserably while creating a huge bureaucracy and big budget for itself.
However, the hysteria over global warming/cooling and the role of man-made carbon dioxide is not one to be decided by opinion polls, politicians seeking pork projects for their districts/states or less developed countries seeking a way to "redistribute the wealth" or a president who has great sympathy for "redistributing the wealth" and who has a political debt for political support from environmentalist groups.
The danger to the U.S. is that man-mad global warming seems to be a hoax perpetuated by: (1) dishonest scientists seeking secure research funding, personal consulting contracts and fame for "saving the planet", (2) unscrupulous marketing mouths like Al Gore who are already making hundreds of millions of dollars by carbon trading, and (3) corporations like General Electric that stand to make hundreds of billions of dollars with widespread commercializing of non-carbon producing but excessively expensive green energy technologies .
The environmentalists, greedy politicians and special interests can drive U.S. policy in a direction that damages the economy of the United States in a huge way that will not be recoverable; we will see enormous tax increases directly and hidden in energy costs and the costs of everything we buy.
The goal of energy independence can be accomplished with better use and improved emissions control of the enormous coal, natural gas and even oil resources within the U.S. or off our shores COMBINED with more nuclear power, and localized wind and solar where it makes economic sense and COMBINED with an improved national energy grid. New battery technology is developing where it may be cost competitive in the next decade with gas.
Hopefully, the scam of man-made global warming was sufficiently exposed with the emails among the dishonest climatologists, (who were already getting millions of dollars in funding,) showing how they were going all out to rig the conclusions that man-made global warming was occurring and a disaster was looming for the planet.

SINCE OBAMA DIDN'T ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING TO EARN THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, BEING THAT HE WAS IN OFFICE AS PRESIDENT ONLY NINE DAYS WHEN HE WAS NOMINATED, THERE IS NO INCONSISTENCY WITH HIS BEING A "WARTIME PRESIDENT" AND ORDERING MORE TROOPS INTO AFGHANISTAN WITH AN ANNOUNCED RETREAT DATE THAT ENSURES DEFEAT.
Even if the Nobel Peace Committee had the full nine months of Obama being in office, there was nothing to merit the Peace Prize other than Obama's world apology tour which, as a practical matter, probably endangered the world more by encouraging rogue nations like Iran and N. Korea, encouraging Russia to reemerge as as power, encouraging dictators and would-be dictators in Latin America and encouraging Islamic Terrorist groups like Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and Hamas and home-grown Islamic Terrorists like Hasan.

Nobel Laureate in Physics, Richard Feynman, wrote: a scientist "should report everything that you think will make it (your results) invalid, not only what you think is right about it: other causes that could possibly explain your results", and "if you make a theory...and advertise it..., you must also put down all the facts that disagree with it".
It is meaningless to discuss global warming without distinguishing between global warming due to man-made activity releasing carbon-dioxide (AGW) and "natural" global warming(or cooling) due to solar flares("sun spots") which can affect cloud formation and thus warming (cooling).
It is clear from the released emails among AGW proponents that there was fraud in their "science", which is being capitalized upon by many for both political and economic reasons.
MONEY,POWER AND GLORY ARE WITHIN THE GRASP OF MANY!
There are BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF RESEARCH FUNDING at stake around the world, that can keep various universities, government and industrial laboratories WELL-FUNDED AND SECURE for decades in the fight to "save the planet" from AGW.
These "leading" scientists pushig AGW can reap the REWARDS OF LUCRATIVE CONSULTING CONTRACTS with governments and industry on how to fight global warming.
Trillions, of dollars at stake for COMPANIES like General Electric that have made a BIG BET ON ALTERNATIVE "GREEN" ENERGY sources. GE in particular has a huge chip to cash in by having supported Obama continuously in his campaign and in his prisidency with extremely biased news and opinions expressed by GE owned MSNBC and NBC TV channels.
INVESTORS like Al Gore perpetuate the AGW hoax for personal gain and glory; they stand to make hundreds of millions through COMPANIES THAT DEAL IN CARBON TRADING.

ObamaCare: Democrats New "Bait and Switch" Proposal for Medicare
Senate Democrats have concocted a great "bait and switch" scheme that appears to dump the "government option" but in fact accelerates health care to a government-run single payer system. They believe that this stunt will give them the appearance of compromising while at the same time offering a revised plan that will be even worse on raising health care costs, rationing and driving to a single-payer system.
Extending Medicare coverage to ages 55-64 is not only fiscally irresponsible, but sets us on a fast-track to a government-run single-payer system, which is exactly where Obama and the Left have always intended to go. This is what Medicare and Medicaid are today, single-payer government-run plans with restrictions on care and an increasing number of doctors who cannot afford to take such patients or must limit the fraction of their patients under these government plans.
The liberal Democrats are hypocritical about Medicare; at one moment they whine about how the system is going broke in a few years and needs reform but the main reform they propose is to destroy Medicare Advantage plans, the best plan under Medicare, combining the government run part of the program with supplements from employers of retirees that improve coverage. They evidently cannot stand the private sector improving the Medicare plan for some. Now, the liberal Democrats suddenly decide Medicare is such a great plan and is financially viable, so that another 20 to 30 million people in the age group 55-64 ought to be eligible.
The next steps are easy to predict. We can expect the ages 45-54 to be included and then 35-44 and so on. Once all ages fall under the Medicare umbrella, there is not even a need for Medicaid and SCHIP since everyone fits the one Medicare mold and naturally private health insurance plans are obsolete. Only the AARP and others that offer Medicare supplement insurance, to cover the gap between what Medicare covers and what the patient must pay will benefit. This is why AARP has sold out its members and has been backing ObamaCare in any form; they are in effect the largest health insurance agency in America for Medigap insurance.
This "compromise" plan is no compromise at all; it subterfuge and not a very clever one at that.
Obama and the Democratic Senate caucus have such a low opinion of the intelligence of the American electorate that they think this smoke and mirrors compromise will fool enough people to get them past the 2010 and 2012 elections. Maybe it will!

Obama's Great Speech in Norway, BUT What's His Record?
Obama gave a great speech in Norway.
Obama has read several great speeches from his teleprompters, written by others. His Philadelphia speech on race was "great", his inauguration speech was "great", his speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention supporting Kerry was "great".
BUT HIS RECORD STINKS AND IS ABSENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS!
After ELEVEN months in office, compared to his promises, here is how he stacks up:
1. Middle East peace-failure
2. Climate change bill-failure (fortunately)

4.Card check for unions-failure (fortunately)

Sarah Palin Writes about Global Warming Hoax and Political Implications

Sarah Palin wrote an excellent column, entitled "COPENHAGEN'S POLITICAL SCIENCE", in the Washington Post, Wednesday December 9, 2009 in the Opinions section. (This can be viewed free on-line in the newspapers archives.)
This has caused a big stir on blog sites and with liberal commentators, all of whom wind up calling Palin names rather than having to think about what she writes and the corruption behind the emails among the climatologists who have manipulated the public into believing in global warming due to man-made carbon dioxide and the inevitable catastrophic conclusion that life as we know it will be over if we don't spend trillions world wide over the next two decades to combat this impending disaster.
Indeed, there are threats to life on this planet and some have caused extinctions in the past billion years and may do so in the future. Some possible life-extinction events from natural causes that could affect a large part, or all, of the planet are:
Solar Super Flare (Destroys all Electronics)
Super Tsunami (1000 ft high)
Super Volcano Eruption (like Yellowstone Caldera)
Super Earth Quake (greater than 10.0 on Richter Scale)
Nearby Gamma Radiation Burst from Supernovae
Huge Asteroid Impact (5 to 10 miles wide)
Global Pandemic (Deadly Mutation of Known Virus)
Sustained Cooling (Earth's orbit & tilt)
Sustained Global Heating(Earth's orbit & tilt)
Massive Methane Release From Ocean Crust
Then add the man-made extinction possibility from Nuclear (war) Winter
THESE ARE LOW PROBABILITY EVENTS AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, CANNOT BE MILKED FOR MONEY, POWER AND GLORY!
However, some very clever climatologists and politicians recognized that SOLAR FLARES (seen as sun spots) which influence cloud formation can affect short-term NATURAL warming or cooling, and this can be turned into the greatest ever world-wide scam for money making and gaining political and economic power. The idea is simply to blame the impending disaster on man, then alter and delete contradictory data and manipulate models to falsify the predictions of: CO2 effects, temperature rises and extrapolated sea levels rises, all occurring in this lifetime. The Joke of Obama's Job Summit
Obama's Job Summit is a joke. It's all show and no substance, like Obama himself. If he was serious he would get down to business with leaders of big corporations and owners of small businesses of various sizes, all having jobs in the private sector. Instead, Obama also invited politicians, community organizing group leaders and union leaders.
1. Professional politicians, particularly Democrats, don't understand free markets and capitalism; most have been feeding at the public trough for years, if not their entire career.
2. Community groups for the most part represent poor or lower middle class people who don't create, but need, jobs or need government assistance. They might be happy with government make-work jobs that do not create wealth and are not long lived.
3. Unions for the most part don't create jobs and those jobs that they create are not economically necessary jobs; they pressure corporations for work rules that lend to inefficiencies and thus extra hires and unions forestall technology that will lower cost, make U.S. corporations more competitive but perhaps cost jobs in the short run.
Of course, Obama never having worked in the private sector( except as a civil rights attorney) has no experience or knowledge. He just wants photo ops and a chance to pander to his constituency in unions and community groups.

Obama Helps All Parties Involved Decide on Their Afghan Strategy
The chance of Obama's vote of "present" being a successful Afghan strategy has to be close to zero.
1. Not only did Obama lay out a strategy for the United States but at the same time he laid out a strategy for the Afghan War Lords and tribal leaders, the Afghan drug cartels, the Taliban and Al Qaeda. The strategy for all of the latter is to hide and duck for 18 months, harass U.S. military enough to cause more deaths and avoid major military confrontations, and don't dare align yourself or provide aid to the U.S. military because you will be executed after the U.S.leaves.
2. For the Afghan population in general, Obama has provided a strategy as well; that is, don't be identified as being for democracy or as a friend of the U.S. forces because you will pay for it latter.
3. For our allies who might contribute troops, Obama has provided the guideline that don't get into combat assignments and risk your lives for an announced strategy of retreat and defeat.

A J.P. Morgan research report examined the PRIOR PRIVATE SECTOR EXPERIENCE of the cabinet officials. The officials that one might expect a president to turn to in seeking advice about helping the economy include secretaries of State, Commerce, Treasury, Agriculture, Interior, Labor, Transportation, Energy, and Housing & Urban Development, and excludes Defense, Health, Education & Welfare, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security. The results for private sector experience:

In ninety-three percent of their experience, they never had to make a profit, meet a payroll, raise capital, invest in a business, manufacture, market, sell, create a value chain, innovate, design, control quality, eliminate waste, negotiate with unions, maintain and repair facilities and equipment, meet shipping schedules, provide customer service, establish budgets or be held accountable for financial results.
Obama’s key cabinet members have spent their careers living off government funding (taxes paid by others) and charitable contributions from foundations and corporations to not-for-profit organizations. Obama Votes "Present" on His Afghanistan Strategy
OBAMA FOUND A WAY TO VOTE "PRESENT" ON HIS AFGHAN STRATEGY.
He couldn't duck a decision as he did so often in his previous positions, so he came up with the most middle of the road strategy possible.
The problem is it was probably the worst possible decision, SHOWING OBAMA'S INCOMPETENCE AS COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.
This was obviously a political decision about the 2012 election and not a decision about winning the war in Afghanistan by defeating the Taliban and Al Qaeda and making the U.S. more secure.
1. The Taliban and Al Qaeda must be jumping for joy today, knowing that they have to hold out for only 18 months.
2. The Taliban and Al Qaeda can now be assured of a halfhearted participation by Afghan troops and police who will see no point in risking their lives with the U.S. pulling back on a fixed short time table.
3. Obama made the Afghan War Lords happy since they can remain neutral or support the Taliban behind the scenes rather than risk retribution from the Taliban when the U.S. retreats.
4. The Afghan drug cartels (often these same War Lords) are happy because they know business will be as usual if they just hold out 18 months.
5. Meanwhile, U.S. troops are being asked to risk their lives for a president who has announced a retreat date before the surge even begins whether we are winning or losing the war. This must be a real morale booster!
6. The U.S. commanders only got 3/4 of the minimum they requested and got a retreat date to boot; being loyal to the CIC Obama, they are saying they are satisfied.
7. The other coalition countries are going to be very reluctant to send their troops into combat situations, losing lives, when there is a planned retreat date.
ALL OF THIS TOOK OBAMA OVER THREE MONTHS OF DITHERING TO FIGURE OUT A STRATEGY THAT MIGHT BENEFIT HIM IN 2012, WHICH WAS CLEARLY HIS MAIN OBJECTIVE.

Can Reform Actually Make Health Care Less Costly?
A Washingotn Post column wrote: "Health-care reform that actually controls costs -- rather than just pretending to do so -- would be virtually impossible to achieve".
This thinking arises only if ObamaCare with a single-payer government run program is the end-point.
What is neglected by the liberal media is an entirely different approach that removes government barriers to lowering cost and keeps the government out of health care beyond the entrenched Medicaid and Medicare programs.
All of these measures are opposed by Obama and the Democrats because they do not increase government power and control. Here are some examples, there are more.
1.Remove the laws that prevent competition for buying insurance across state lines (e.g. equal policies in NJ and PA can cost $12,000 and $7000, respectively.
2. Change the tax law so that individuals get the same tax deduction on health insurance premiums as do corporations (remove the 7% of adjusted gross income offset against individual medical expenses).
3. Remove the restrictions on carryover of Flexible Spending accounts as an incentive for individuals to not use unspent funds by year end.
4. Remove all limitations on Health Savings Accounts to encourage lower cost private catastrophic insurance policies with individuals taking more responsibility for initial expenses in unlimited HSA contributions.
5. Institute true tort reform that limits lawyers fees and jury awards and will result in lower liability insurance for doctors and less medical testing.
6. Make the penalties much higher for insurance companies who wrongly refuse claims and index the penalties to the frequency of wrongful rejections for each company.
7. Provide income scaled government vouchers for health insurance for those caught in the gap between Medicaid eligibility and those that can afford their own insurance (perhaps at 3x poverty level).
8. Make penalties very high for insurance companies that drop an insured because of too many claims.
9. Create very-high risk pools with appropriate high premiums for those with pre-existing conditions (as is done for teenage drivers or those with DUI records).
10. Increase the investigations and increase the penalties (fines and prison-time) for Medicaid and Medicare fraud.
11. For people below a certain age (perhaps 30 to 40) abandon Medicare and create long-term health insurance investment plans along the lines of long-term-care policies. Employee and employer contributions to Medicare can be diverted to a plan by private insurance companies an perhaps guaranteed by the government as are many private pension plans.

The Wall Street Journal 10/24/2009 points out that the hacked emails among leading climatologists who are proponents of man-made global warming, disclose the following:
1. these pro-man-mad global warming scientists urge each other to present a "unified" view
2. they refer to this a "common cause"
3. they advise each other how to smooth over data so as not to compromise their favored and lucrative hypothesis
4. they discuss ways to keep opposing views out of leading scientific journals
5. they give tips on how to "hide the decline"of temperature in certain inconvenient data
6. they suggest that emails to deleted that raise any doubt about man-made warming
7. they ask if email dates can be changed to enhance their view
8. they propose that well-respected journals that published some opposing views be black-listed by articles in that journal should not be cited and they should no longer publish in that journal
9. they propose that scientists with opposing views be blacklisted from publishing in peer reviewed journals
10. they recommend rules of the U.N.'s International Panel of Climate Change (IPCC) be used to withhold giving the raw data to those that challenge man-made global warming.

1. There are BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF RESEARCH FUNDING at stake around the world, that can keep various universities, government and industrial laboratories WELL-FUNDED AND SECURE for decades in the fight to "save the planet" from AGW.
2. These "leading" scientists pushing AGW can reap the REWARDS OF LUCRATIVE CONSULTING CONTRACTS with governments and industry on how to fight global warming.
3. Trillions, of dollars at stake for COMPANIES like General Electric that have made a BIG BET ON ALTERNATIVE "GREEN" ENERGY sources. Democrats can use the excuse of AGW to bribe corporations for political support, directing huge contracts to "friends" of Obama and excluding enemies.
4. Investors like Al Gore perpetuate the AGW hoax for personal gain and glory; they stand to make hundreds of millions through COMPANIES THAT DEAL IN CARBON TRADING.
5. The more poor, less technologically advanced nations can use Copenhagen Meeting and treaties like the Kyoto Treaty to EXTORT HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM THE MORE WEALTHY, TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED NATIONS. IT'S THE "SPREAD THE WEALTH" MENTALITY

What is the Biggest Threat To The United States?
The biggest threat to the United States is NOT Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Iran's getting nukes, the hoax of man-made carbon dioxide causing global warming, the supposed 30 million uninsured for health care, illegal immigration or even the impending rationing of health care.
The BIGGEST THREAT BY FAR to the welfare and security of the American people is the path this country is on to AT LEAST DOUBLE THE NATIONAL DEBT FROM $5 TRILLION TO $10 TRILLION over the next 10 years as a result of the HUGE DEFICIT SPENDING PROGRAMS BY OBAMA and the liberal Democrats. Moreover, if some forecasts on the actual cost of entitlement programs are correct, based upon what has actually happened with social security, Medicare and such versus their forecasts, then the national debt could even triple.
The result will be a continued SLIDE OF THE DOLLAR relative to other world currencies, far more UNITED STATES ASSETS (real estate, corporations, and bonds) being OWNED BY OTHER COUNTRIES, and ENORMOUS INFLATION that will drive the standard of living down for all Americans except perhaps the most wealthy.
So, if you are a family earning $100,000 per year today, in 10 years you will likley have the puchasing power of a family making $50,000 or even $35,000 today. This is what legislation passed and proposed by Obama and the liberal Democrats are doing to you in 2009 and the coming years. You can do the simple arithmetic if you make more or less than $100,000 today to see where you will be in ten years and beyond. So, if you aspire to the standard of living that people have who make half or a third of what you do today, then you ought to continue to follow Obama; he'll get you there. Keep on swooning and drooling over Obama with his "change" and "yes we can". There may be redistrbutionb of wealth if Obama has his way but the value of the dollar will decline so much that those who have more confiscated by the government and those that receive more handouts from the government will all have a lower standard of living. But, it will be fair.
If you don't have the goal of having spending power that is half or a third of what you have today, then start thinking of how much fun will it be, or how clever will you think you are, to then say "Bush did this" or "Cheney did that" or to make stupid comments about Sarah Palin? How cool will it be to have been an Obama puppet in 2008-2009?

The PALIN DERANGEMENT SYNDROME IS IN HIGH GEAR among the Obama puppets, who still swoon and drool over Obama's every teleprompter word and appearance, and those in the media that "get a tingle down their leg when Obama speaks". Witness that the Associated Press has assigned eleven reporters to "fact check" Palin's book, while they assigned ZERO reporters to fact check Obama's two books in which others have uncovered numerous lies and distortions.
I would guess that most of the anti-Palin comments are from those who have not read her book or heard her on interviews with Oprah, Hannity, Walters O'Reilly or Miller. The anti-Palin crowd prefers to keep ignorant or are simply so blinded by their bias such as the pro-abortion crowd.
Palin has a natural rapport with middle America; she comes across as honest, moral, enthusiastic, unpretentious and knowledgeable as well as admitting to have been gullible about the underhanded, liberal leaning, headline seeking media. Compared to just about every politician Republican or Democrat on the national scene, Palin is refreshing and one to be admired. She has none of the evasiveness, elitism, phony posturing, stale rehearsed talking points and feeling that you are being mislead or that future actions will not match current promises, that we get from Republicans and Democrats alike. This is what makesPalin such a threat and why the liberal left attacks her so continually.

Why Israeli - Palestinian "Peace" Process Drags On
1. The Palestinian Arabs would be living in peace and prosperity in the land of Israel, including the so-called West Bank, if they had not fled their homes in 1948 when the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem told them to do so with the promise that all of the Jews would be killed and the Arabs could return to their homes and even take the homes and land of the Jews.
2. The Palestinian Arabs would be living in peace with their own land if any of the Arab countries which invaded Israel, had any compassion for, or obligation to, the Palestinian Arabs. The surrounding Arab nations of Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and nearby Iraq, Yemen, Libya and more, with hundreds of times the land area of Israel, could have settled the Palestinian Arabs rather than keep them in refugee camps and poverty and continue to incite them to violence against Israel.
3. ISRAEL HAS RETURNED OVER 90 % OF THE TERRITORIES IT HAS CAPTURED IN WARS WITH INVADING NATIONS OR IN DEFENDING ITSELF AGAINST TERRORIST ATTACKS.
4. Can anyone imagine any Arab nation returning any land to Israel in any circumstance?
5. Israel returned all of the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt, the Gaza Strip which had been under Egyptian administration to Palestinian Arabs, southern Lebanon to Lebanon, and 40% of the "West Bank" to Palestinian Arabs.
6. Israel retained East Jerusalem, to make the city whole again, and 60% of the West Bank, both of which were ARTIFICIALLY under the control of Jordan due to 1948 cease fire "Green Line" when Jordan, Egypt, Syria and other Arab nations invaded Israel.

Congress Slows The Obama-Pelosi-Reid Spending Craze
Congress has "tied down" the Obama agenda because the Democratic health care bills and the Carbon Cap and Trade bill are bad legislation.
Obama winning the election was not a mandate to pass any piece of crappy legislation that he, Pelosi,Reid, ACORN and the SEIU decide they want.
By now, we know that one of Obama's slick tricks during the campaign was to call for "change" and "yes we can", but :
Obama was sly enough to not specify the actual changes he would be proposing.
In the campaign it sounded so moral to cover the uninsured, health care for all.
Now, when we get down to details, everyone with common sense knows this could be done for those who actually cannot afford insurance for a fraction of the cost of ObamaCare; without huge deficits and rationing.
In the campaign, clean energy sounded like such a high ideal and good for energy independence.
Now we know that man-made global warming is probably a hoax, the clean energies of wind and solar are many times as expensive as coal and gas which will lower the standard of living of every American and ObamaGreen will cost millions of jobs to go overseas.
In the campaign, Obama pledged many things that we now find he lies about.
Obama was going to cut the Bush deficit in half, which sounded great, the Bush deficits were irresponsible.
Now we know that Obama has quadrupled the Bush deficit, handed out massive amounts of pork and with ObamaCare and ObamaGreen he will bankrupt the country or drive massive inflation.
Now we know that we are looking at trillion dollar or more deficits each year for the next ten years if we follow the Obama plan.
So, we ought to applaud Congress for slowing down this insanity of spending and of government takeover of major parts of the economy.
The Republicans in Congress see this very clearly and so do a few Democrats.

The Age of Celebrities
There is no one who has benefited more from the "celebrity age" than Barack Hussein Obama. With no experience, no accomplishments, no decisions of significance and a hoard of radical anti-American associates and advisors, Obama used his teleprompter reading ability, empty slogans and booming voice to charm and sweet talk America. He is an empty suit who became the ultimate American Idol and is attempting to be the Rock Star of the World. How ironic that liberal hacks in the media, who has fawned over Obama and ignored all of Obama's lies, failures and Chicago Way dirty politics, now are incensed about Palin's celebrity status.
Obama's Trip To China
In case you haven't noticed, Obama's trip to China is a TOTAL BUST as far as U.S. interests are concerned.
1. Trade agreements? No!
2. Human rights in China? None of O's business. No!
3. China's help with pressure and sanctions against Iran? No!
4. China's help with aggressive stance by North Korea? No!
5. Agreement on carbon emissions? Fortunately China is not as stupid as the U.S. about the man-made global warming hoax and the economic impact of drastic limits on carbon dioxide emissions. No!
6. China's agreement on world wide monetary and deficit stimulus spending? No!

Islamic Terrorists Trial In a Civilian Court
Moving the trials of the 9/11 Islamic terrorists to a civilian court in New York is grandstanding politics by Obama-Holder of the worst kind. It places New York and, for that matter, all potential United States civilian targets at much higher risk going forward. Al Qaeda and other groups win here from a propaganda standpoint as well as a future strategy standpoint.
1. From a propaganda standpoint, the 9/11 Islamic terrorists now:
(a) get a stage where they can denounce the United States and possibly recruit more Islamic radicals,
(b) possibly force the Dept of Justice, through rules of evidence, to reveal many tactics and technology used in fighting terrorism
(c) actually have a chance of being acquitted or at least getting a hung jury.
(d) string out the process for a decade of more, through numerous appeals, if they are found guilty.
2. From a strategy standpoint, Obama-Holder's message to Al Qaeda is now clear:
(a) attack unguarded civilian targets in the United States and if you are not a suicide- murderer, but one of the leaders or planners who convinces the suicide-murderers to kill in the name of Islam, then if captured you get treated with all of the legal protections of an American citizen with a chance of being found not-guilty.
(b) attack military targets and the attack has much less of a chance of success due to generally guarded and fortified installations and if caught then you get the death penalty in a military court with no chance of acquittal.
This seems to be either lost on Obama-Holder or, even worse, they weigh these downsides as not being as important as giving Obama-Holder the opportunity to grandstand for months or years about the civilian trials, getting many TV opportunities, and possibly as platform to further bash the Bush-Cheney regime thereby diverting attention from the huge failures of Obama's domestic economic policies and Obama's total lack of any accomplishments in international matters.
Of course, this action by Obama-Holder plays into the politically correct Obamaspeak which no longer acknowledges a war on terrorism or Islamic terrorists as existing.
Al Qaeda wins, the United States loses!
1. From a propaganda standpoint, the 9/11 Islamic terrorists now:
(a) get a stage where they can denounce the United States and possibly recruit more Islamic radicals,
(b) possibly force the Dept of Justice, through rules of evidence, to reveal many tactics and technology used in fighting terrorism
(c) actually have a chance of being acquitted or at least getting a hung jury.
(d) string out the process for a decade of more, through numerous appeals, if they are found guilty.
2. From a strategy standpoint, Obama-Holder's message to Al Qaeda is now clear:
(a) attack unguarded civilian targets in the United States and if you are not a suicide- murderer, but one of the leaders or planners who convinces the suicide-murderers to kill in the name of Islam, then if captured you get treated with all of the legal protections of an American citizen with a chance of being found not-guilty.
(b) attack military targets and the attack has much less of a chance of success due to generally guarded and fortified installations and if caught then you get the death penalty in a military court with no chance of acquittal.
This seems to be either lost on Obama-Holder or, even worse, they weigh these downsides as not being as important as giving Obama-Holder the opportunity to grandstand for months or years about the civilian trials, getting many TV opportunities, and possibly as platform to further bash the Bush-Cheney regime thereby diverting attention from the huge failures of Obama's domestic economic policies and Obama's total lack of any accomplishments in international matters.
Of course, this action by Obama-Holder plays into the politically correct Obamaspeak which no longer acknowledges a war on terrorism or Islamic terrorists as existing.

More on the Liberals Panic Over Palin
The attention being given to Sarah Palin and her new book, "Going Rogue" brings out the most biased and distorted criticisms of Palin. One common theme is to fawn over the role of Obama as president and ask if we could imagine Palin in the same situations as Obama, such as his current trip to China, as though Palin could not possibly match Obama's great victories.
The fact of the matter is that with all of Obama's traveling and his world apology tours, his empty threats to Iran and North Korea, and his double-crossing of America's allies, OBAMA HAS ACCOMPLISHED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in international relations.
OBAMA HAS GAINED NOTHING FOR THE UNITED STATES' INTERESTS. But, Obama sure looks good in his suit, smiling and bowing to the monarchs of Japan and Saudi Arabia, and criticizing the United States to the cheers of thousands of Europeans and Middle Eastern Muslims.
A straight talking Sarah Palin would at least have a chance of achieving much more, certainly PALIN COULD NOT ACHIEVE LESS THAN OBAMA WHICH HAS BEEN ZERO.
Likewise, for domestic policies, Obama has accomplished nothing except to run up huge record breaking deficits with even more to come with his ObamaCare and Cap and Trade should they pass.
OBAMA IS DESTROYING THE UNITED STATES' ECONOMY AND THREATENING THE WORLD ECONOMY as the chairman of the China Bank Regulatory Commission told him. Evidently the Chinese are not impressed with the charm of the "rock star of the world" and are more concerned with his bad monetary policies.
PALIN COULD NOT HAVE DONE WORSE THAN OBAMA and likely would do much better with a practical approach of not spending what you don't have and taking steps to actually stimulate business rather what Obama has done in handing out massive pork and funding more entitlements under the guise of helping the economy.
Could you imagine Palin shifting the trials of captured Islamic terrorists, who murdered thousands of civilians in a military attack, to a civilian trial in New York rather than a military trial in GITMO. Never!
But, as we all knew, Palin had actual experience as an executive making decisions in government and business and has common sense, while Obama had none.
Palin has not had the "benefit" of such advisers as Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and the rest of his socialist and anti-American cohorts.

The usual characters in the predominantly liberal mainstream media, like the New York Times, Washington Post and NBC, are panicking over the attention Sarah Palin and her new book are getting in news coverage, talk shows and book sales. They are dragging out the same old lies, distortions and rumors about Palin as when she came on the national scene in August 2008.
The Obama puppets have no chance of understanding or appreciating someone like Sarah Palin. They are just enamored with chanting, slogans, swooning, having Obama sweet talk and charm them with vagaries and outright lies and promises of more government entitlements.
They cannot comprehend the attraction of Palin who speaks openly and honestly and who doesn't dodge tough or controversial questions as do other politicians of both parties who have mastered the technique of giving the politically correct answer or the typical politician's non-answer answer.
The Obama pawns and the mainstream media are frightened by someone who doesn't come from, or have some connection to, the Washington D.C.-New York-Boston corridor. The Chinese Lecture Obama About Economics
Obama went to China this week to press for civil rights and a green planet. Instead, he got a dose of reality of how he is perceived by those that really count in China, the leadership. The chairman of the China Bank Regulatory Commission told Obama, in no uncertain terms, that Obama's economic policies are are:
(1) causing "mass speculation" thereby inflating asset speculation in stock and property markets around the world and
(2)creating "unavoidable risks for recovery of the global economy, especially emerging economies".
The Chinese chairman was referring to the huge deficit spending and borrowing leading to a weak dollar and low U.S. interest rates. I guess the Chinese leadership just doesn't understand that Obama is global a rock star who can't be bothered with such petty concerns.

Ft Hood Massacre - An Act of Domestic Islamic Terrorism
The massacre at Ft Hood was an act of domestic Islamic terrorism.
Hasan wrote and spoke about his approval of suicide bombings. He spoke out vehemently against U.S. war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq. He attended mosques that routinely spout anti-American pro-Islamic Terrorists propaganda. He emailed a known AL Qaeda recruiter in Yemen about 20 times according to an ABC report.
The FBI and the military had all of this information but they failed to act and protect this country against this domestic Islamic terrorist.
Evidently, the lessons of 9/11 have not been learned well enough.
There is also the contributory factor of "political correctness" that likely caused pause within the FBI, and perhaps Army Intelligence, in taking action that might be viewed by the Obama administration as ethnic or religious profiling. Examples of actions by the Obama administration that reinforce such "political correctness" :
1. Obama announcing the closing of GITMO and treating captured Islamic Terrorist combatants as civilian law breakers
2. Deleting the War of terrorism from the federal vocabulary and referring to the wars as criminal acts or man-made disasters
3. Eric Holder investigating, and possibly prosecuting, CIA for aggressive interrogation of terrorists, when such interrogations actually averted attacks on the U.S. and loss of life
4. Eric Holder refusing to prosecute Black Panthers who intimidated voters in Philadelphia
5. Obama apologizing in Cairo to the Muslim world for past U.S. actions and attitudes toward Islam,
6. Obama lashing out at the Cambridge cop in the Black Harvard professor incident
7. Janet Napolitano stating after the Ft. Hood attack that she was most worried about a backlash against Muslims in this country instead of being most worried about protecting the homeland from domestic and foreign enemies like Hasan.
Today, at the Ft Hood service for those murdered, Obama referred to the act as "a tragedy", never once acknowledging it was an act of Islamic terrorism.
The Army failed, the FBI failed and Obama failed these victims.

"I'm Tired" by Robert A. Hall
I'll be 63 soon. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce, and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18 Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, too lazy or stupid to earn it.
I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.
I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros, and Hollywood entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela. Won't multiculturalism be beautiful?
I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.
I believe "a man should be judged by the content of his character, not by the color of his skin." I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of US Senators from Illinois.
I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the emancipation proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.
I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were
wonderful. That thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control
weight and stress, that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his, that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue, or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.
I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.
I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ
rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.
I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military... Those are the citizens we need.
I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years-and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal.
I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.
I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers-bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois, where the " Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet as well.
I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers, and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination, or big-whatever for their problems.
Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination, or big-whatever for their problems.
Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

Victories in NJ and VA - Lesson for Republicans
Evidently the Obama White House has distributed the talking points to all of their puppets in the media, like Larry King on CNN and Ruth Marcus in the Washington Post, and like a good little Obama puppets, dancing as Obama pulls their strings, they try to dismiss the significance of the major Republican victories in Virginia and New Jersey. Larry King actually dismissed the McDonnell and Christie victories as wins for "the far right". Can you believe he used the term "far right" for Christie and McDonnell. And a panelist on CNN, from BET, said the Republican victories were caused by talk radio and Fox News. What bias and stupidity! What denial of the facts!
Obama's personal efforts campaigning for the Democrat's candidates in New Jersey and Virginia , along with an influx of DNC money, were rebuffed by the voters who are sick of the direction Obama-Pelosi-Reid are taking this country. There is an important message here for the Republicans as well for 2010 and 2012. The Republican winners in New Jersey and Virginia supported conservative principles but the candidates also embraced moderate Republicans and Independents who did not necessarily line up 100% with all conservative principles.
This is analogous to how Obama and the Leftwing of the Democrats took over the Democratic Party, by allowing views from moderate Democrats and Independents. Of course, once Obama and the Leftwing got into power they ignored the voices of their moderates and independents and simply have pushed a Leftwing agenda. Thus the result of Republican victories in New Jersey and Virginia.
