No one could seriously believe that OJ would not be convicted of murdering his wife and her friend in courtroom spectacle of the last century. No one seriously thought that OJ would ever see the light of day. BUT WE ALL SAW OJ DODGE JUSTICE!
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was ready to be tried in a military court and had already admitted his guilt and was looking forward to being executed as a martyr.
Now there is the opportunity for the planner of the worst war crime against the United States to have a platform to retell his story or to dodge justice by some technicality of the civilian legal system with the aid of clever lawyers or with the aid of a single biased juror who sympathizes with the Jihadists.
This is on Obama's and Holder's heads. THERE IS NO "BUSH-CHENEY DID IT" EXCUSE or "WE INHERITED THIS MESS " TO WHINE ABOUT.
IT IS A STUPID POLITICAL MOVE THAT ENDANGERS ALL AMERICANS GOING FORWARD as Islamic Terrorists now have the clear message that if they kill Americans on United States soil then they will be Mirandized and have all of the safeguards of the American civilian legal system with a chance at acquittal, or a hung jury or at worst a public platform to spew their hatred and inspire other Jihadists.
Perhaps, Holder's old former law firm, that has represented a number of terrorists in the past, will take on this case.
This is one more clear example of how Obama is naive or incompetent or, worse yet, trying to placate the Muslim nations. He is unfit to be president!
