The "unprecedented" achievement of Reid and Pelosi is the amount of bribery, pork,extortion and threats that were used to get the versions of ObamaCare passed in the House and Senate. If this is the mark of great congressional leaders then Pelosi and Reid deserve the title.
They ignored public opinion, carved out so many sweetheart deals, and threatened to withhold federal funds so that eventually all Senate Democrats folded. They carefully counted votes in the bag in the House to allow certain Democrats to appear to be against the bill in districts where reelection would be the most problem for those voting for the bill.
Obama violated so many of his promises in getting this far in the health care bill process that it's almost impossible to keep count: "not a dime of increased taxes on those making below $250,000", "no more earmarks", "bipartisanship","transparency","posting bills for the public to read for 5 days before a vote", "able to keep your own doctor", "no impact on Medicare", "will reduce health care costs" and on and on.
THIS IS ORGANIZED CRIME AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Those that have gotten deals this time around are just as likely to be thrown under the bus next time around if they are not needed. That is the nature of the "Chicago Way".

Another Homeland Security Failure
THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ONCE AGAIN THINKS THEY CAN CALL AN ELEPHANT A MOUSE AND ENOUGH PEOPLE WILL STARE AT THE ELEPHANT AND CHANT YES! YES! IT'S A MOUSE!
So, Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security Secretary, says "THE SYSTEM WORKED" respect to this Nigerian Islamic terrorist who has ties to Al Qaeda. IS SHE NUTS? There could not have been a bigger failure of Obama's Homeland Security measures except for the Islamic terrorist's murders at Fort Hood.
Then Napolitano says "it's the SYSTEM THAT'S BEEN IN PLACE FOR YEARS". A feeble attempt to try the worn-out Blame-Bush-Game. This comes from the former Governor who had illegal aliens pouring across her state's borders for years and did nothing to stem the tide.

With the likes of Boxer, Feinstein, Leahy, Kerry, Schumer and "$300 million is my price" Landrieu running Senate committees and the criminal Rangel, corrupt Barney Frank, Conyers and Waxman running important House committees, it will not matter if some moderate Democrats get elected to Congress.
Without a Republican president, who is actually willing to use the veto (unlike Bush,) we will have tax and spend government and huge deficits continue to pile up. Moderate Democrats (if such a thing exists) and Republicans will have to clean up the disaster left behind by Obama-Pelosi-Reid and this will take time and bipartisanship.
The Democrats need Truman and JFK type leaders who the Leftist Democrats of today, and their stooges in the media, would probably call neo-cons. Truman and JFK didn't hesitate to use U.S. power for the defense of democracy, there were no world apology tours, they were strong beleivers in capitalism and individual responsibility and JFK actually lowered taxes. Health Care Reform Bills - Total 4800 Pages, For What?
4800 PAGES BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND SENATE VERSIONS OF A HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL.
Liberals (now hiding behind the name "Progressives") and all Americans ought to ask themselves:
1. 4800 pages and not one of TORT REFORM.
Who benefits? The Trial Lawyers Association who has donated extensively to Democrats.
Who does NOT benefit? Everyone else paying higher insurance premiums so doctors and hospitals can buy expensive liability insurance.
2. 4800 pages and not one to allow PRICE COMPETITION among insurance companies.
ACROSS STATE LINES.
Who benefits? Big insurance companies who backed the ObamaCare proposal.
Who does NOT benefit? Everyone having to buy private health insurance as individuals or through employers.
3. 4800 pages and not one to allow individuals to DEDUCT THE COST OF PREMIUMS as do businesses.
Who benefits? Big government collecting more of your tax money.
Who does NOT benefit. Every tax payer who buys health insurance.
4. 4800 pages and NO SEVERE PENALTIES, of fines and prison, for those who commit Medicare and Medicaid FRAUD.
Who benefits? Criminals and community groups that encourage fraud.
Who does NOT benefit? Every employee having a Medicare tax deducted from their paycheck and all recipients of Medicare and Medicaid who get less service due to higher cost.
5. 4800 pages and no increase in FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT LIMITS that encourage personal responsibility for health care choices. In fact, it is proposed to cut the limit in half on Flex Spending accounts.
Who benefits? Big insurance companies that will sell policies at higher premiums rather than selling only lower premiums catastrophe insurance.
Who does NOT benefit? Younger healthier people who want to manage their own health care and save money.
6. 4800 pages and Obama manages to DESTROY MEDICARE ADVANTAGE that is used by 10 million seniors and gives better coverage than Medicare alone or Medicare plus some "gap insurance.
Who benefits: AARP who is a major vendor for Medicare supplement (gap) insurance and, by coincidence was a strong backer of ObamaCare.
Who does NOT benefit? Ten million seniors with Medicare Advantage programs that will get lower quality care at higher cost. (How many of them voted for Obama?)
7. 4800 pages and Obama manages to STRIP $500 BILLION FROM MEDICARE, the heart of the phony economics in ObamaCare, in first ten years and then $ 1 trillion in next ten years.

Who does NOT benefit? 60 million seniors and growing who will see inferior health care as doctors and hospitals are forced to spend less time with each patient, have less staff, some stop taking Medicare patients and overall rationing as a result.
8. 4800 pages and not one to allow purchase of LOWER COST PRESCRIPTION DRUGS from Canada or elsewhere.
Who benefits? Big Pharma.
Who does NOT benefit? Primarily 60 million seniors who take more prescription drugs per capita than other groups and all patients on long term medication use.
9. 4800 pages and hundreds of billions in WASTEFUL SPENDING that have little to do with vital health care issues, such as playgrounds, community health food stores, support of community organizing groups and numerous pork packages.
