Most of the media continue to be a tool of Obama but there are some cracks in the media's protective wall around Obama beyond Fox News Channel, The Wall Street Journal and some talk radio. While MSNBC, the New York Times, Time Magazine and others still fawn over Obama and generate one mindless news report or opinion piece after another as they have for more than two years, not all media outlets are just parroting the Obama talking points each week.
National Public Radio (NPR), a very liberal leaning station, ran a public opinion poll (not a scientific sampling) on their website this week asking if the White House was correct in labeling Fox News Channel as NOT being "fair and balanced" or is the White House wrong and Fox News Channel is "fair and balanced". About 1,445,000 votes were cast (voting more than once was blocked). The result was 84% supporting Fox News Channel as being "fair and balanced" and only 15% supporting the White House accusation, with 1% undecided. Aside from the very conservative Sean Hannity and Glen Beck shows on the Fox News Channel, anyone who watches FNC would see fair news reporting throughout the day and several opinion shows that have balanced opinions being expressed. Even Glen Beck, who some may label as being somewhat paranoid, performed a valuable service by focusing attention on the corrupt and criminal ACORN and on the radical Van Jones when all other media ignored their actions and connections to Obama.
What would the New York Times, NBC, MSNBC, Time, etc. or NPR itself get in a survey such as the one about FNC?
The attacks on FNC by Obama and his cohorts is typical of what we have seen for the 287 days of the Obama reign. Any individual, organization, media or politician that disagrees with Obama's reckless spending, big government agenda and weak foreign policy is vilified, intimidated and outright lied about; this is the "Chicago Way".
This is Obama's new morality in government that he promised; it's new as Obama said, but people were fooled into thinking it would be better not worse. Instead, Obama's new morality is the "Chicago Way" and has been used by Obama at every step in his political advancement, not just for the first 287 days of his reign!

Obama's 287 Days of Change
Obama's 287 Days of change?
It hasn't all happened yet but some change has been enacted and much more change is in the works.
1. Change from a FREE-MARKET ECONOMY with some imperfect regulation to one which is a GOVERNMENT-RUN ECONOMY.
2. Change from a culture of INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY to one of individual DEPENDENCE ON GOVERNMENT for most aspects of life, health, jobs, housing, primary and higher education and more.
3. Change from individuals being ALLOWED TO SUCCEED (or fail) through their own decisions and efforts and be rewarded (or penalized) for their choices to PENALIZING SUCCESS and redistributing hard earned and deserved wealth.
4. Change from the RIGHTS OF INDIVIDUALS being protected by the Constitution to where individuals, organizations and politicians that oppose the "Change" are DEMONIZED AND INTIMIDATED.
5. Change from a MANAGEABLE BUDGET DEFICIT to MASSIVE BUDGET DEFICITS for years to come with the inevitable inflation.
6. Change from a HEALTH CARE SYSTEM THAT WORKS for 300 million citizens, but needs some fixing, where the doctor-patient relationship is primary and choice of care is made by the patient to one where the GOVERNMENT WILL INTRUDE in a large way between the doctor and patient, choice will be very limited and health care will be rationed while huge budget deficits accrue.
7. Change from a foreign policy of defending and supporting our allies, VIGOROUSLY DEFENDING OUR FREEDOM with a strong military and being firm with our enemies to one where apologies are made for the United States being the defender of democracies, where our allies are double-crossed, our ENEMIES ARE APPEASED and the United States power has become an international joke.
THIS IS "THE CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN"!

PelosiObamaCare Bill 1990 pages
It is common sense that any bill (the ObamaPelosiCare bill) that is 1990 pages is filled with:
earmarks,
opportunities for corruption,
special favors for big financial contributors to the Democrats,
special benefits for demographic groups that routinely vote for Democrats,
payoffs to districts where the Congressional Representative is holding back support for the bill
and is clearly trying to hide the truth of what is being done.
A bill that is 1990 pages that creates a federal commissioner (CZAR) of health and all sorts of government bureaus can only be intended to:
expand the size of government,
expand government control
and set us on a path for another huge deficit spending entitlement
A bill that is 1990 pages will have the likely outcome that it will not fix the basic problems with the health care system.
Those who voted for Obama (except for the most ignorant puppets) ought to be embarrassed about their vote and the "change you can believe in".

Obama's Blame Game: Managing Perceptions
Obama continues to blame Bush as a cover-up for his own lies, failed policies and indecision on critical issues.
Now Obama attempts to use Bush as a means of managing the perception of the public about himself. It's such an obvious and worn-out ploy to deflect attention away from himself and his incompetence as president by blaming others and never taking responsibility.
Bush-Cheney is not his only target in his continual blame game.
Obama has other boogiemen as well including: the United States for all past international relations for which he repeatedly apologizes, doctors, insurance companies, FOX news network, all talk radio, Wall Street, mortgage brokers, the Republican Party, Tea Parties protestors, Town hall protestors and so on.
Obama has used this ploy of managing the perception of himself by blaming others throughout his career. Obama has always played the game of focusing attention on someone else; he has been a master at making someone else the bad guy, so no-one will look too closely at his own inadequacies and lack of achievement.
This ploy worked as a Community Organizer, in his getting elected to the Illinois legislature and then as a do-nothing member of the Illinois legislature, in getting elected as a U.S. Senator and then as a do-nothing U. S. Senator, as a candidate for president who was totally unqualified and now as a president with failed domestic and foreign policies.
The management of the public's and media's perception of others rather than of himself allows such disasters as the Stimulus Bill, Cash for Clunkers, a $1.4 trillion budget deficit, failures in dealing with Iran, N. Korea, Russia, lying about transparency in his government with his Czars and the secret legislative process with only Democrats, lying about bipartisanship when he is president, lying about not signing any bill with earmarks when every bill has earmarks, lying about no lobbyists in his government, lying about a new morality when he is president as he appoints tax cheats and those involved in other corruption, and the list goes on and on.

The same people who wanted to kill Americans on 9/11 and in many previous terrorist attacks around the world are based in Afghanistan and adjacent Pakistan.
Americans have been lulled into a false sense of safety because Bush took the war to the enemy and instituted Homeland Security measures, including GITMO, that have prevented other attacks on American soil.
Meanwhile, Obama is more obsessed with his image and with being the rock star to the world than with the security and welfare interests of the United States. That is why Obama waffles among various positions on Afghanistan, delays decisions until the polls tell him what to do, ignores the troops in harms way while he dithers and tries to sweet talk our enemies.
This was Obama's war of necessity.
This was Obama's battlefront for the War on Terrorism.
This was the war we could not afford to lose according to Obama.
This was the war where we would find Osama Bin Laden and kill him in retribution for 9/11.
THIS IS OBAMA'S WAR AT THIS POINT and his appointed general for Afghanistan , McChrystal, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff say we need 40,000 more troops. Meanwhile, Obama plays Hamlet for two months agonizing over what will be most popular for his reelection.
He is a fool if he thinks his American Idol act will divert Al Qaeda from future acts against the U.S.

Attack on FOX News Has Dangerous Broader Implications
Obama's attack on FOX News is not just un-American; IT IS DANGEROUS TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF THE PRESS in general. This is symptomatic of the Obama administration and the leftists in Congress (like Pelosi and Waxman) in general; THEY ARE AFRAID OF THE TRUTH AND FACTS. They area afraid that the public might find out about the true cost of ObamaBaucusCare, the ineffectiveness and corruption in the Stimulus Bill, the weakness and confusion about foreign policy, the rising unemployment beyond what Obama promised, the questionable corruption, socialist agendas and criminal activities of many Obama appointees and so on.
So, the Obama administration tries to MARGINALIZE, INTIMIDATE AND STIFLE any and all opposing viewpoints and analysis of their actions. Obama's Foreign Policy Is "Clownish"
Obama's foreign policy of apology tours, appeasing enemies, empty threats and double-crossing allies is not just comical and an embarrassment to the United States. Charles Krauthammer, writing in the Washington Post 10.16.09, calls Obama's foreign policy "clownish". Krauthammer notes:
1. Obama is all about making the people of other nations"feel good" about the United States and then in the long run they will behave as good citizens of the world.
2. Obama was silent when Iran suppressed demonstrators by shooting and imprisoning them. In order to not irritate China, Obama had human rights taken off the agenda for Hillary Clinton's recent visit there and Obama refused to meet with the Dalai Lama. In return, China refuses to join in any hard sanctions against North Korea or Iran and , with China is trying to destabilize the dollar by going to a new international currency standard.
3. Obama's "respect for Muslims" speech in Cairo and pressing Israel for a total freeze on settlements has not led to any resolution of conflict or change in attitudes in that region.
4. Obama's breaking the pledge to Poland and the Czech Republic to place a missile defense system in those countries has heightened fears in the entire Eastern Europe region that Russia will be unopposed in trying to regain control over former Soviet Union countries. Russia meanwhile refuses to even talk about sanctions against Iran.
5. In July, Obama stated that Iran must show compliance with inspections of nuclear facilities by the time of the G20 meeting or they would face "sanctions that have bite". Well, the G20 has come and gone the Obama has retreated from his threat and done nothing.
In addition, we have the months of Obama publicly agonizing over a decision about more troops in Afghanistan, in Obama's "war of necessity", after his appointed commander and the military leaders said the increase in troops was necessary. As one columnist wrote, Obama needs to realize that he in Commander-in-Chief and not Hamlet.
Obama's inaction and bowing to the will of various dictators is not just a joke. It emboldens the enemies of freedom to extend their influence. Obama is far from making everyone feel good about the United States; he is actually making the United States and the world less safe.
